I.J. White was started in 1919 by Irving John White, as a reseller and manufacturer's representative for companies such as Werner & Pfleiderer, Middleby Marshall and Hayssen.

The baking and food processing industries started to change significantly in the 1960's, with a greater emphasis being placed on efficiency, increased production and space utilization. By 1965, under the direction of Harold White, the company started manufacturing Spiral Systems, which today is I.J. White's principal business.

Under Peter White, I.J. White has continued to grow and supply the spiral processing systems to our customers. With over 2,000 systems in operation worldwide in over 5,000 product applications for Blast Freezing, Ambient and Refrigerated Cooling, Water Cooling and Proofing, I.J. White makes the most versatile and reliable spiral system in the industry. Utilizing the patented Thermal-Pak Coils and our Advanced Defrost Technology, each system is custom engineered with the finest quality materials and three generations of manufacturing experience. Every system we make is assembled and tested in the factory prior to shipment.
